When you’re young, retirement seems so far away, and there are so many more immediate demands on your money, such as buying a house or repaying your student loan.
Many people think pensions are complicated, boring and not something you need to think about while you are young – however, the truth is the younger you start saving for retirement the better off you will be!
Plan ahead
As we are all living longer, we need to think long-term and plan ahead, about how we are actually going to support ourselves in retirement, when our working days come to an end.
Regardless of age, everyone should have some sort of retirement plan in mind, which you can build and develop as you age and your circumstances change. Your retirement should be a time for enjoyment and adventures, NOT a time to worry about the pennies!
