Your LGPS pension is paid calendar monthly directly into your chosen Bank or Building Society account by BACS transmission.
To change your Bank or Building Society account details, you will need to complete the Pensioner Bank Details Form and send back to the address on the form as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, for security reasons we are unable to change bank or building society details over the telephone.
We need to receive your new bank details by the 15th of the month to ensure your pension for that month will be paid into your new bank account.
Can I have my pension paid into a bank account overseas?
If you would like to have your pension paid into an overseas bank account, you will need to contact Cardiff Council pay team on Tel: 029 2087 2311 or paycontrol@cardiff.gov.uk and request a Banking Mandate Form, stating the country where you wish to have your pension paid. This process can take a number of weeks to set up.
There are conversion and transmission charges when paying your pension into an overseas account.
